Heat Watch
Heat Watch
Heat Watch is a proprietary temperature indicator that monitors products in transit. Many products are sensitive to high temperature and can be easily damaged beyond repair if they are exposed to heat. For manufacturing and distribution companies, the losses owed to products damaged in transit can be significant.
But with Heat Watch, they can hold shipping companies liable to the contractual obligations to transport their products within certain temperatures. The heat indicator can be easily applied to each shipping container by peeling off the protective strip on the back.
Each indicator has a preset temperature for activation. This temperature varies between 46 Celsius and 134 Celsius. Once the preset temperature is reached, the indicator turns pink. If the high temperature persists for more than 30 minutes, the Heat Watch device turns red, indicating that the products may be irreparably damaged.
